Tfe-Lok is the ideal solution for applications where PTFE coatings lack durability, and where chrome plating alone does not provide sufficient lubricity or release properties.

Unlike conventional coatings, Tfe-Lok impregnates fluoropolymer into the microcracks of hard chrome plating.
The base chrome plating supports the load, while the fluoropolymer is protected from wear.

1. Hardness
The base layer is hard chrome plating, providing a hardness of approximately HV850.

2. Heat Resistance
Recommended for continuous use up to 250°C
A high heat-resistant model, “Tfe-Lok α,” is also available for use up to 300°C.

3. Safety
This surface treatment complies with PFOA regulations.

4. Processing Characteristics
The treatment temperature is as low as approximately 200°C, which means that there is almost no thermal influence on materials.

Tfe-Lok has been widely adopted for applications such as guide components and heat sealers.
